Review: 

I didn’t realize that this is book 3 of a series that doesn’t take away or deter from the storyline. It did take me a few to understand the characters and aspects of the characters back story, I was still able to figure out the couples and the various relationships from small town Weston and the Braden family. I do recommend reading the previous books to understand the characters back stories further. If you are a person who doesn’t like a lot of sex or cussing–this book is for you. Zero cussing. Very few sex scenes that are not overtly explicit.

Cole’s writing is filled with emotion and descriptive language that adds to the emotion of the characters. She also hits the viciousness of New York fashion spot on.

Riley Banks has lusted after Josh Braden since she was old enough to have childhood crushes. She watched him from afar with her best friend Jade who did the same thing for Josh’s older brother Rex. Spending a few hours with Josh at a concert and with his family, just reminded Riley how much and why she lusted after the man to begin with, he’s kind, generous, and sweet. After looking at Riley’s design portfolio, he hired her for his fashion design company as an assistant on the design floor. The more time she spends with him the more she falls for him even after moving to New York. The more involved they become the more Riley has to lose. Her career. Her fashion. Her pride. Her relationship with Josh can all go up in a blaze.

Josh can’t remember a time where he didn’t crush on Riley Banks due to the feud between his family and Jade’s family prevented him from approaching her. He makes excuses to spend time with Riley. Claudia continues to come on to him, more so since Riley started. Once Josh had a taste of Riley, he knew the sweet girl from Weston would be better than his dreams. His dreams are changing thanks to Riley but an office mishap creates a multitude of issues for Josh and Riley.
