Book Review and Excerpt: The Careless Boyfriend by Erica Kelly

Review There’s a reason why I dislike reviewing books that are part of a series and this book is one of those reasons. Jack leaned closer to me, his elbows resting on the table. “I need to talk to him.” “Who?” I looked around in case he meant someone else, but seeing no one, I asked, “Justin?” His face determined, he got up from his chair, started walking toward the kitchen door, and said over his shoulder, “Yeah,Continue reading “Excerpt: Ms. Baker by Lea Coll”

Book Review: Rising Star by Susannah Nix

I need to begin that I love, love, love Alice’s character. She went through a horrible event that no woman should have to endure but sadly is completely accepted in academia and many other professions. Why does our society attack the woman that is involved with  sexual harassment and sexual assault? She did nothing wrong!?! But yet, she is the one who is put under a looking glass from how she dresses to her sexual partners to her dating life! Yet, the man that committed the crime is not!?! Ok, I’m off my soapbox. I just had to get that off my chest. Yes, it all does pertain to the book since this is what Alice had to endure and Griffin helped her work through those emotions.
