I smiled. “Don’t be scared. I want all those things too.”
“But what if I fuck it up?” He kissed his way up the center of my chest and braced himself above me. “What if I’m not good at it? What if I don’t deserve it?”
“Tyler.” I took his face in my hands. “You deserve it. Do you hear me? You deserve to be loved the way I’m going to love you.”
Then his mouth was crushing mine and we were pressed chest to chest, rolling sideways with our arms and legs tangled as we tried to get under each other’s skin. He left my side only for the twenty seconds it took to put a condom on, and then he was back, easing into my body. When he was buried deep, he stopped and looked down at me. “I don’t know what the second act of my life is going to look like, but I know you’re the best part of it.”
My heart, already beating hard, threatened to burst right out of my chest. “Really?”
“Yes.”

Review: Lovestruck by Lila Monroe
Book 3 of Lucky in Love Series At first, I wasn’t sure what to make of this book. I know I shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. Buuuut, we all do. I’ve recently read a number of books with the cartoony cover–they were bad. I had very low expectations. I also kept putting offContinue reading “Review: Lovestruck by Lila Monroe”
Review: Tempt Me by Cali Caliente
This book is all about steamy sex between a hot Italian and a wedding planner. The two had steamy shower sex within five minutes of meeting. Their entire relationship is just as passionate. There are a bit too many Italian cliches for me. The story needs a bit more backbone and storyline. But the bookContinue reading “Review: Tempt Me by Cali Caliente”
Book Review: One Week Hating You by Roya Carmen
Mauve was living the dream–great job, terrific fiance, soon to be husband, terrific condo. All of it came crashing down. First she lost her job. Then she was stood up at the alter. Why stay at a place with the man who didn’t bother to show up at his own wedding!? What’s a girl to do? Go home to your momma. Mommas always make everything better. That’s what Mauve did. She decided she would spend a bit of time with her family before deciding her next step in putting her life back together.
Mauve and her friend Corrie along with Mandy, Mauve’s childhood best friend decided the first thing to do is go shopping. Buy clothes that are not safe. Not plain. Not boring. Her outfit turns heads. Why wouldn’t a leather mini skirt, leather peep toe booties with a Pink Floyd shirt gain the attention of every man in the bar even Mauve’s high school sweetheart, Blake Taylor. Blake broke her heart when she was 18 by sleeping with another girl. Blake has changed. He’s not longer scrawny. He’s built with a sexy as sin beard.

A sisters pride
Rob Today my little brother married his soulmate. All the hard work on the wedding preparations paid off when I saw the look on his face when his bride walked down the aisle. Tears in his eyes, a heart filled with eternal love, I could see their entire life through his tears. The nights curledContinue reading “A sisters pride”
Wedding Stresses
My first attempt Tomorrow, my brother is getting married. I have been his unofficial wedding planner. I made the invitations, organized the food, destressed the bride for getting overwhelmed (daily), and (so far) attempted NOT to kill the maid of honor who has thus far shucked her duties even “forgetting” to book the avenue forContinue reading “Wedding Stresses”
wedding issues
My brother is getting married next month. He and his fiancee decide to not plan the wedding until oh….two months before the wedding. I’m not sure whether they decided this because they were naive about what a wedding entails or just that they figured it would take very little to plan. Either way, guess whoContinue reading “wedding issues”
