Brooke Jensen has worked as an event planner for the last ten years. Her boss is horrible! She asks ridiculous things of Brooke the only shinning mark from her boss are the perks–designer clothes, shoes, and bags that her boss’s personal shopper bought by mistake. It irritates her that she has to reprimand her fellow co-workers instead of her flaky boss. Brooke loves her job and she’s very good–one of the most requested even planners in Chicago. Brooke thought she had the perfect life–incredible (but demanding) job, terrific apartment, handsome and terrific boyfriend–until said boyfriend cheated. She found them on her bed. Nothing is worse than seeing your man plow into another woman who’s on all fours.

Brooke moves in with her best friend–it’s not ideal since Felicity is married with two kids. Brooke loves spending so much time with Felicity’s family, it helps her forget how horrible her life is. Her boss, Catherine pushed a new client on Brooke that she’s not too excited about meeting–Catherine’s son. Brooke creates all sorts of scenarios about this man and how much he is like his mother. He is far from it. What Brooke doesn’t realize is –she’s already met him, he’s the gorgeous man she’s been dreaming about from the bar.

Brooke can’t deny the chemistry between them. Every time he’s near, he body is drawn to him. Is that enough to build a life together or even a relationship? After all, he is Catherine’s son.

Levi hold one more secrets that Brooke can’t overlook, will this secret break them?

Blurb:

Breaking up is hard to do.

It’s even harder when you’re not expecting it.

Brooke Jensen is a planner. Not only in her personal life but also professionally as one of the most sought after event planners in Chicago.

But, when the ideal life she built for herself, complete with handsome, long-term boyfriend and perfect apartment crumbles, she realizes there are some things you just can’t plan for.

While trying to start anew from her best friend’s guest room and discovering the best doughnuts in the city, an idea sparks to life when she meets Levi. He’s intriguing, funny, and shockingly good-looking, and what had been a few stray thoughts becomes a new passion for Brooke, a blog detailing learning how to be single. The project introduces Brooke to new people and experiences, and keeps returning her back to Levi.

But, Brooke learns kismet may have been wrong when she learns Levi is the last person she should be interested in.

Falling for the wrong guy once has Brooke hesitant to start a new relationship, but Levi is quickly proving that The Fallback might be even better.
