I had moments where I wanted to stream and slap both of the main characters especially Blakely. She wasn’t honest with herself until a certain point in the book. She’s loyal to a complete fault which frustrated me as a reader. Asher wasn’t much better. He traveled the world for six years to copeContinue reading “Book Review: Love Me Like You Won’t Let Go by Melissa Toppen”
A sweet, clean second chance romance. The book starts out a bit slower than what I’m used to but the pacing of the romance between Reed and Grace is far from slow. Book 2 of 3 AM Kisses Series Book 1: 3 AM Kisses I loved book one so much that I bought the second and third book. Laney was hilarious and an incredible friend to Baya in book 1. A heartbreaking second chance romance that pulls all the heart strings. This is one of the few books, I’ve cried while reading. It doesn’t help that my grandparents had a farm growing up so many of my own memories intermingled with this story and characters. It is a must read!
Brenton Graves left his grandfather’s ranch right after high school for college. Both he and his brother, Caleb attended school in Dallas–six hours away from the ranch. It also placed both boys closer to their alcoholic father who uses people, women, and drug more than toilet paper. Oh, and the Graves family are oil tycoon rich from Brenton’s great, great, great, great, great grandfather. The ranch has been in their family for generations. Too bad Brenton doesn’t remember much from his teen years through to his early twenties. Until he woke up in a rehab center with his grandfather looking over him.

She decided she would spend a bit of time with her family before deciding her next step in putting her life back together.
Mauve and her friend Corrie along with Mandy, Mauve’s childhood best friend decided the first thing to do is go shopping. Buy clothes that are not safe. Not plain. Not boring. Her outfit turns heads. Why wouldn’t a leather mini skirt, leather peep toe booties with a Pink Floyd shirt gain the attention of every man in the bar even Mauve’s high school sweetheart, Blake Taylor. Blake broke her heart when she was 18 by sleeping with another girl. Blake has changed. He’s not longer scrawny. He’s built with a sexy as sin beard.
Ophelia Bishop was a lovestruck teenage girl when she and Kyle Kimpton chased their dreams to Hollywood. Kyle’s dreams came true. Ophelia’s did not. When Kyle chose his career over their relationship, Ophelia returned home to rural New York to run the family’s B & B—wiser, and more guarded against foolish fantasies. Now Kyle has come crashing back into her life, and all her defenses are down.
Jane Royce works for the Chicago Hawks as the Assistant Manager. She has worked her tail off to get where she is. Some people think that she got the job because her dad is the head coach–they couldn’t be further from the truth. She has earned her spot on the team. She lives and breathes football. Some might say she has a type–football players. Her first love was the star football player –who now plays in the NFL–to her college sweetheart, both play/ed football. No way is she letting that pretty boy any where near her outside of the stadium. That’s what she keeps telling herself.
Weston Chase asked–prayed, begged, whatever it took to get out of Pennsylvania. He found his linebacker plowing his fiance in his house. He needed a change. The perfect place is Chicago. His hometown. With the coach who taught him everything about football. Where the one girl who broke his heart is. He decided that he was going to win her back at any cost. Before he can do that he needs to do some soul search about who he is and who he was. His role in the relationship ending with Jane and even with his cheating ex.
