Book 2 of Part Time Cowboys
What’s worse than being dumped, cheated on, and kicked out of your apartment? Having to move in with your twin brother and his best friend. Oh, did I mention that said best friend is an ex-boyfriend? Yeah, it sucks.
Sadly, said ex is hotter than he was in high school with the whole hot firefighter and sexy rancher vibe going. But Brigit picks herself up and finds a way to achieve her dreams–too bad she doesn’t know what her dreams are since she’s been blindly doing what her mother told her. You know, go to college, find a nice boyfriend, and maybe go to law school or grad school. The only part that worked out was going to college. The boyfriend or should she say the lying, cheating ex-fiance was more out of pressure to appease her mother than anything and same thing with grad school.
What she really wants is to follow in her daddy’s footsteps like her twin–be a rancher. Nothing else feels right. Helping her twin Justin with his goats or helping the neighbors with their cattle–just fits. She has great ideas on how to improve Justin’s ranch, and her cousins too. Although, her mother insists that Brigit find a job in the city where she has spent most of her adult life. Will Brigit find her dream and fulfill it or continue to follow the path her mother set for her?
Caleb has had a rough life. He was raised by grandparents after his thoughtless mother almost burned down their house with him in it. His mother has a poor reputation in town due to her impulsiveness which sadly has also fell upon Caleb. Justin never let that bother him and neither did Brigit until her mother found out about Caleb and Brigit dating something her mother instantly put a stop to. Brigit never gave him a reason why they broke up. She ghosted him and left for college. Now, she’s back and living in the same house–thanks to a tornado taking out his childhood home. Brigit is just as gorgeous as ever. Can Caleb rebuild aspects of his life and win over Brigit?

About Red Hot Rancher:
Full-time fireman and part-time rancher Caleb is living the bachelor’s dream and staying rent-free in his best friend’s place. Too bad it’s because he lost his house to a tornado and his best friend’s sister is the one that got away. At least she doesn’t visit often—the last thing he needs is to show her she was right about him: he’s going nowhere fast. But when her cheating fiancé kicks her out, she has no place to go except her brother’s suddenly too-crowded ranch house.
After a streak of bad decisions, Brigit has to slink back home to nurse her wounds and find a job. To complete her humiliation, there’s no way she can avoid the first love she walked away from years ago—because he’s sleeping on the other side of her wall. At least it’s only a matter of time before she’s gone again. After all, there’s nothing in this town for her but bullies and cow patties…except a fireman in cowboy boots who melts her heart and makes her consider love again.
He’s not leaving. She’s not staying. If the reason they can’t be together is so simple, why is it so hard to remember?
