Claire Becker is a struggling screenwriter who has been writing fan fiction about an upcoming actor that she met five years ago, Nick Larsson. Now, Nick is an actor on a widely popular sitcom while Claire is forced read screenplays to pay the bills instead of selling her own. Her own screenplays have been mediocre at best.
